Welcome to BUC!
We are so glad that you’re checking out Birmingham Unitarian Church! We know that visiting a new church can be a big deal, and we’re here to support this first step on your journey. We encourage visitors to come a few times to get a feel for our community, and don’t hesitate to ask anyone–especially our greeters in the front and our staff–if you have a question. No question is too small or too obvious. We’re here to help you get connected!
If you haven’t already, subscribe to our mailing list! Our once-weekly email update is where you’ll find announcements and information about events and activities at BUC. It’s your lifeline to everything going on in our congregation. You’ll also receive the occasional important all-church message from our church leaders.
Check out this booklet for a bird’s-eye view of our congregation.
Have a look around our website and fill out a newcomer survey to help us get to know you.

Your First Visit
Sundays at 10:30 am
BUC is located at 38651 Woodward Avenue, at the corner of Lone Pine Road, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Accessibility information can be found here.
Worship services begin at 10:30 am ET every Sunday. We invite you to check in at the greeter table as you enter–our greeters will show you where to go and tell you about opportunities to learn more about our congregation.
If you are bringing children/youth for the first time, we encourage you to arrive 15 minutes before the service begins so we can connect your young people with our programs especially for them.
Experience our Sunday services no matter where you are or what your day looks like. To join us online, use our Zoom link (no account or sign-in required). We offer a virtual coffee hour after service where you’ll be able to chat with others who have joined on Zoom. And keeping your camera off is always okay!
Whether in-person or online, come as you are and know that you are always welcome. We can’t wait to meet you!
