Walt Whitman Elementary School Partnership
Do you enjoy helping K-5 students learn and grow? If so, this may be the program for you.
What We Do
Book Trolley Team
Maintain an inventory of books and visit classrooms on a weekly basis. Students select a book to read and exchange it for another book the next week.
All books in the mobile library are donated or purchased with donated funds. Check with book trolley contacts for guidance on books to donate. Used books in good condition are welcome, as are new books. Cash donations are also welcome.

Bananagrams Team
Help students build vocabulary and spelling skills using the popular word game “Bananagrams,” which is adapted to promote learning for a wide range of reading levels. This is an after-school program.
